Who we are
Bimteck Consult is a division of Bimteck Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16047934). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at info@bimteckconsult.com.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and provide our services:
When you use our eligibility checklist: your name, email address, your stated pathway of interest, your answers to the 15 assessment questions, and any written explanation you choose to provide.
When you contact us by email or book a service: your name, email address, and any information you choose to share about your background, qualifications or documents.
When you visit the site: our hosting provider may record standard technical information such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability purposes.
Why we use it
We use your personal data to send you your assessment results, to respond to your enquiry, to deliver the service you have booked, and — where you have opted in — to send occasional guidance on endorsement, admissions and research topics.
Our lawful bases are your consent (for marketing emails, which you may withdraw at any time), performance of a contract (to deliver a service you have paid for), and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use it to make automated decisions that produce legal effects for you — the eligibility checklist is a self-assessment tool that scores your own answers, not a decision about your eligibility.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, including our website host and form provider, our email provider, and our payment provider for paid services. These providers are bound to process data only on our instructions. Some may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards apply.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and assessment submissions are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Records relating to paid engagements are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes, normally six years.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@bimteckconsult.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may set essential cookies required for the site to function securely.
